About Mycomaster

Mycomaster enables rapid, on-site, cost-effective and user-friendly analysis of six different mycotoxins: Zearalenone, Deoxynivalenol, Aflatoxins, Fumonisins, Ochratoxin and T2-HT2. Providing a reliable quantitative reading of the contamination levels in feed materials and compound feed.

Mycomaster at a glance

Mycomaster is a user-friendly system that allows you to analyze mycotoxins rapidly and cost-effectively. It is capable of detecting a range of six different mycotoxins: Zearalenone, Deoxynivalenol, Aflatoxin, Fumonisin, Ochratoxin and T2-HT2 and provides a reliable quantitative reading of the contamination levels in feed materials and compound feed. Where feed is indeed found to be contaminated with mycotoxins, the right dosage of TOXO® feed additive can then be determined based on the Mycomaster analysis result.

Proper sampling required

Mycotoxins are heterogeneously distributed through feed materials and compound feed, therefore the sampling procedure must be followed carefully. A good quality sample will ensure reliable analysis results when using Mycomaster.

General rules when taking any samples
  • Duplicate sampling required
  • Samples should be stored in completely clean receptacles
  • Remaining samples should be stored for at least six months

How to use Mycomaster

The Mycomaster toolkit comprises two boxes; box one contains the Mycomaster reader itself, a centrifuge, balance, sample grinder and accessories. Box two contains all the disposables you need to perform the mycotoxin analysis. The extraction powder, mycotoxin strips including the dilution buffer and positive control will be delivered separately as these needs to be kept in cool conditions.
