Products of the Selko®-pH range control undesirable bacteria from drinking water into the gastro intestinal tract of animals. Furthermore, the acidification of the stomach improves digestion of feed. The result is a positive effect on animals’ gut health and a more profitable performance.
Selko-pH improves gut health and performance in three steps.
First step: the synergistic blend of free organic acids improves the microbial quality of water by inhibiting the growth of E. coli and Salmonella, yeasts and moulds.
Second step: the synergistic blend of free organic acids reduces the pH and the feed buffering capacity in the crop and stomach. This leads to an improved feed digestion and it inhibits the growth of E. coli and Salmonella.
Third step: the buffered organic acids reduce the level of E. coli and Salmonella in the intestine while saving and leaving Lactobacillus unaffected.
