Trouw Turkey launches new additives

Selko Feed Additives and her partner in Turkey, Trouw Nutrition, are proud to bring an anti-salmonella solution, Fysal, and a complete organic trace mineral product range, Optimin, on the market. Focus was put on these products, quality and economic benefits during 2 seminars.

A poultry seminar was held in Izmir on April 12^th, paying special attention to Fysal, the anti-salmonella product. Salmonella bacteria must be controlled in animal derived products as they pose a serious threat to human health. Also for Turkey, Salmonella control in the total animal poultry production chain becomes an important issue for the coming years. Selko Feed Additives has a 28 years experience in Salmonella control.
Besides was presentation on Optimin organic minerals, focusing on product quality and economics. Its superior stability over competitors has proven to support general animal health and decrease on-farm problems related to production.

For ruminants, a special academic event was held on May 5^th in Ankara. Numerous prestigious guests from the Turkish agriculture universities, veterinarian schools, consultants and nutritionists were invited to share and discuss about the essential role of trace minerals on animal performance, health and welfare. Recent findings on i.e. cow’s health during transition period, fertility or vitamin stability in a premix were presented. Understanding of intestinal absorption of micro-minerals was precisely described. Furthermore, regulation of the mineral absorption and interactions were extensively described. Optimin is designed to cooperate with the enterocytes to supply trace mineral in a balanced way.
