Moisture retention for higher feed mill efficiency
![]() | Feed mill efficiency or process optimalisation is increasingly becoming one of the primary targets of animal feed production. Fylax® Forte and its surfactants premixed in water optimize the moisture content without sacrificing feed quality. Benefits usually seen include: inhibit mould, decrease of energy usage in the pelletizer, increase pellet quality, compensate the process loss in terms of moisture content in final feed ..etc. Click on the link for more information: Moisture retention for higher feed mill.pdf More |
High results on Optimin trial
| To show the added value of Optimin for farmers, a large scale Optimin organic minerals trial was conducted in Belgium last winter. On 13 top farms with Belgium blue beef cattle, a farm mineral containing 50% Optimin was tested versus a farm mineral with 100% inorganic minerals (Zn, Cu, Se). The study was double blind, so the farmers and researchers didn’t know what mineral contained the Optimin. The trial was executed by the University of Liege in close cooperation with Nutreco R&D, Selko Feed Additives and Trouw Nutrition Belgium. More |
Quality of selenium yeast
Selenium can be fed either as inorganic or as organic selenium. Since more organic selenium yeast producers enter the market, benchmarking on nutritional value becomes relevant. Selenomethionine levels show large differences among producers. Choosing a premium source of selenium yeast, like Optimin SeY, gives the maximal animal performance. Read more.More
