significantly more effective at controlling moulds in compound animal feeds and raw materials than industrial standards such as ammonium propionate and other currently available mould inhibitors. The result is the same shelf life while saving at least 15% in costs.

Innovative production technology
Fylax Forte is produced using a unique and innovative technology based on research findings by the Nutreco Ingredient Research Centre (IRC) and the research laboratory at TNI Feed Additives.
The production technology creates activated propionates that are held in micelle structures. These micelles increase the porosity of the mould cell wall and destabilise the cell membranes more effectively than dispersed molecules. By increasing the openness of the cell wall and membrane, non-dissociated organic acids from Fylax Forte penetrate easily, inhibiting the mould cell metabolism, specifically the glycolysis.”
